UTED International Articles
We often talk about pilots, cabin crew and the technology that keeps aviation moving.
But there is another critical group working largely behind the scenes: aviation maintenance professionals.
Their work is not only about aircraft, systems, tools and procedures. It is also about human performance, communication, teamwork, decision-making, fatigue, workload, leadership and safety culture.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to explore some of these topics through my articles published in UTED International.
I am bringing them together here, with a particular focus on the human side of aviation maintenance and the people who carry this responsibility every day.
Below, I have listed the articles for anyone interested in:
Issue 7 - Team Emotional Intelligence: The Invisible Safety Net for Aircraft Maintenance Teams-Eray Beceren
Issue 8 - Emotional Intelligence Against the "Dirty Dozen"-Eray Beceren
Issue 9 - Emotional Agility as the Ultimate Human Factors Tool for Aircraft Maintenance Technicians - SOON :)
Because aviation safety is not created only in the cockpit.
It is built by every person who contributes to keeping an aircraft safe to fly.
I hope these articles provide some useful perspectives and, perhaps, start a conversation about the human side of maintenance.
